ALS, 1825 January 31 : Washington City, to E.K. Ingersol.

Written two months after being defeated for the Presidency by John Quincy Adams, to a man who had apparently named his son after Jackson. He says: "It is not material what occupation a man follows; all are equally honourable when pursued with honesty and industry ..."
